When Zephyr accidentally drops from our world into another, she becomes an apprentice to a grumpy, paranoid sorceress (as you do). Filled with joy at learning sorcery, she is tasked by the sorceress to bring an ‘uncanny creature’ back to the drippy, gothic castle. Does an uncanny creature include an elf? One who is tall? Gorgeous and…unconscious? Zephyr’s got a lot to learn, not just about how her captive elf can bespell a woman, but also about wizards and vengeance between those who deal in magic.

 

When Theo, her captive elf-wizard bespells her, he leads her into a whole new world of magic and enchantment. This world holds as many deadly traps as it does secret wonder. There are those who would cast Zephyr out of this world, sending her back to ours. She’ll do anything to stop that from happening—anything to stay with Theo. If that includes figuring out how to use a pair of mysterious magic rings, then so be it. Too bad nobody told Zephyr these magic rings were cursed.
